Our memory is the source of all emotions. It is also the source of our guilt. What if a killer would wake up one day with his memory erased? Would his crimes cease to exits? What if an innocent wakes up one with his memory erased and perceives himself to be a criminal? Would that change his perception of reality?
Faltering memory continually alters the constancy of truth. Short term memory loss denies you of an identity throwing you into an abyss of excruciating agony.
Acid Factory is about a group of characters whose sense of past has vanished in a haze of coma like they have woken up from sleep only to discover that reality could be a figment of their imagination.
Their sense of right or wrong is heightened by this state of complete distrust and self-righteousness. As the story reveals through the hazy mist of confusion confounded by loss of memory, the audience is just shown the tip of the iceberg.
A high-octane thriller where every second counts and every flash of your past is either a step towards realization of the true self or the horror of the discovery of who you really are. And then the games begin as our characters start to create stories just so that they can stay in the right but what if a roomful of people realize the majority is evil?
Wouldn't your instinct of survival dictate you to renounce yourself to evil to survive? Acid Factory plays out as a thriller, a morality play on the inside and a cat and mouse chase on the outside.

God Tussi Great Ho
It's time to revisit 'It's The Time To Disco' [Kal Ho Na Ho] with 'Let's Party', the opening number of the album. With a similar setting, sound arrangements and even rendition, 'Let's Party' takes off exactly from where the aforementioned disco number left a few years back. The only difference here is that this time around, Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra share the stage instead of Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta.

Title song God Tussi Great Ho has a kind of music that one associates with Salman Khan. Quite an Indian feel (though sounding at least 3-4 years behind) the title song has Sonu Nigam thanking God (Amitabh Bachchan) for bestowing upon him all the powers which allow him to run the world in a way he wants. Shankar Mahadevan is the voice for Amitabh Bachchan in this situational song which should help in moving the story forward while keeping the audience engaged. Yet again, a 'remix version' follows. Well, as it turns out, it's placement in the album is quite unnecessary due to the song's situational theme!
Here comes the man Neeraj Sridhar who doesn't seem to be setting a foot wrong ever since his association with Pritam has been paying dividends in each and every outing of his! He pairs up with Shreya Ghoshal for a romantic ballad titled 'Tumko Dekha' which is written by Jalees Sherwani. Just when one thought that Neeraj had changed his approach completely for the song by going all sober and romantic, he comes up his English rendition, hence putting his stamp over 'Tumko Dekha'. The best song of the album so far, one is surprised what is taking the makers so long to be unleashing this one on the music channels?
Finally arrives what could well be termed as a favorite for Sajid-Wajid and Salman Khan! Amongst them, they have a thing or two for a 'chunari' and this is pretty much apparent in the song 'Lal Chunariya'. The best part about this Deven Shukla written song is the coming together of Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik, which seems to be happening after ages! A melodious romantic number which can never go out of fashion as long as Bollywood lives on, 'Lal Chunariya' has a feel and impact similar to countless such songs that Sajid-Wajid have composed for Salman in films like Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Tere Naam and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
God Tussi Great Ho doesn't quite boast of a great beginning with 'Let's Party' not really making a great impression. However things improve slightly with 'Tujhe Aksa Beach Ghuma Du'. Though this effort too isn't enticing enough, the concluding tracks in the form of 'Tumko Dekha' and 'Lal Chunariya' do help in redeeming God Tussi Great Ho to an extent. Overall, this soundtrack by Sajid-Wajid may not really scale the kind of height as some of their earlier albums with Salman Khan have, but is still decent enough to make a listener sit through the songs at the least.

UGLY AUR PAGLI is funny as hell - Pritish Nandy
Love has many takes.
You watched our Pyaar Ke Side Effects. You watched Just Married. You watched Chameli, Shabd, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. All of them explored relationships, gave a new spin to what love is all
about.
But Ugly aur Pagli takes the bakery. It's funny as hell. It has its beautiful moments too. Mallika Sherawat, fresh from her success as the unforgettable Trisha in last year's biggest, most amazing romcom hit, comes back in her new avatar as Kuhu, the Pagli of Ugly aur Pagli. Impossible, incorrigible, irresistible.
Ranvir Shorey as Kabir, urf the Ugly of Ugly aur Pagli, is cast in the role of a lifetime. He's the nerd: goofy, charming, desperately trying to escape Pagli's clutches and, in the process, falling even more miserably in love with her. Haven't we all experienced this sometime or the other in our tragic love lives?
This film also debuts Sachin Khot as the director to watch out for. He has returned from a decade long vanavas in Indonesia, where he was making television serials for local channels. We welcome him back to India and the big screen, and to PNC where the finest motion picture talent is incubated and encouraged to realise its true potential.
And, O yes, don't forget we have Shaadi Ke Side Effects coming soon too.Hijack

A quintessential number follows next and does hold promise to engage the audiences while it is accompanied by some hot visuals and aggressive choreography. With a mix of English and Hindi lyrics, 'Dekh Dekh' has Sunidhi Chauhan being largely responsible for the song with Suraj Jagan and Joi chipping in a little as well. Mainly orchestrated as a Western track with beats dominating the proceedings, 'Dekh Dekh' is seemingly a pre-climax track which solves its purpose of taking the narrative forward but that's about it. Don't expect the number to create a riot, though the faster paced 'club remix' version may just do better at nightclubs and discotheques.
The name Shilpa Rao raises a lot of expectations. Very recently she has delivered a chartbuster 'Khuda Jaane' [Bachna Ae Haseeno] and now she is back with 'Koi Na Jaane' which is kick started by K.K. A situational number where the protagonist gets into a pensive mood and is looking forward to The Almighty for a direction to move ahead, 'Koi Na Jaane' is surprisingly ordinary in feel. However, what really disappoints is that Shilpa Rao is not heard in the song at all except for a faint 'alaap' at the very beginning of the song. Come on, she deserves a better outing!
One wonders if the song would play in entirety in the film's narrative since an action-thriller like Hijack risks slowing down in pace with a song like 'Koi Na Jaane' in the background. The track by itself is not a bad hear; it's just that it is core situational and doesn't make one pick it up and play on a repeat mode.
An aircraft taking off is what begins 'Theme Of Hijack' that promises to be an engaging hear, courtesy the thriller genre that the film belongs to. However, instead of being just a theme piece with only an orchestra taking charge of the proceedings, 'Theme of Hijack' turns out to be a 'Hinglish' outing with Suraj Jagan and Uday coming behind the mike. However, it isn't really an impressive tune to boast of and yet again, all would depend upon the track's placement in the film and the visuals that accompany it. And yes, just like the song preceding it, this one too doesn't make it to the wish-list of those looking at extending their collection on the iPod!
Eventually, it all boils down to the number 'Aksar' which is not just the best of the lot but in isolation too quite a good composition. With 'Dekh Dekh' being the only other number to really look forward to from the album, one now waits for the film Hijack to arrive at theaters.
RGV provokes people to show their guts
Nothing can match the confidence and optimism possessed by film maker named Ram Gopal Varma.
For his forthcoming directorial venture 'Phoonk' which he says is the scariest of all his horror genre movies till date, Ramu has promised Rs.5 lakhs to anyone who is able to watch the whole movie alone in the theatre without getting out even once.
It is amusing when we think that this challenge is being offered by the film maker who has not been at his best in the recent times as three of his much hyped movies failed miserably.
But then for Mr.Varma, right from the time he made his first movie, the recipe of success has always been just going ahead and doing what he believes in without caring for anything else.
The producer of 'Phoonk', Azam Khan of One More Thought Entertainment is also supporting the director in his plan to prove how much fear 'Phoonk' can generate.
No one will dare to say that the time has come to write off the most unpredictable of the film makers in B-Town as we still have not forgotten 'Bhoot', and 'Raat'.
Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam
Write your own music review of Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam |
Marmari Baahen is a kind of quintessential romantic number which can't ever be hated by a listener. However, even though the number has a melodic base to it, it doesn't quite enthrall as such since it follows the basic routine of mush and romance while keeping it soft and simple. Moving at a slow pace with some ear pleasing arrangements, 'Marmari Bahen' is a decent duet by Shaan and Mahalakshmi Iyer which doesn't really have in it to go all the distance, but stays on to be an OK hearing overall! Later, Blue Zone 'remixes' the song with Anu Malik himself choosing to come behind the mike. Well, the way he goes about crooning the number, it is assured that 'Marmari Bahen' has Malik's trademark stamp to it.
It is time to expect something interesting, what with Pankaj Udhas coming back to singing for a Hindi film after ages. Anu Malik ropes him in for Ek To Sharab Kum which appears in two parts. Well, it is absolute shocking to hear the track because if at all there would be one really forgettable Pankaj Udhas number for a Hindi film, it would be this. The built up takes a horrendously long time and by the time one expects some rhythm in the proceedings, the end result turns out to be damp squib.
There are chances that 'Ek To Sharab Hai' is spoofy in nature, but that by any means doesn't turn out to be a good enough excuse for the song to be so lifeless. To give Pankaj Udhas some credit, he is decent in the way he goes about singing this 'ghazal', but it is due to some really boring arrangements which pull the track down completely. This one clearly disappoints!
With a fine track ('Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya') followed by an average number ('Marmari Bahein') and an absolute letdown ('Ek To Sharab Hai'), one is quite apprehensive before playing the last song in the album, Ishqiyaan. Well, the expectations have ebbed to such a low point by now that whatever reasonably is fine turns out to be some saving grace. This way 'Ishqiyaan' succeeds to an extent as it is not a bad hear, though being stuck in the musical style of 90s.
Primarily a rhythmic-n-peppy duet between Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan, 'Ishqiyaan' has the potential to do well on screen with some funny picturisation. Towards the end, Aftab Hashmi Sabri joins for a 'qawalli' outing while Blue Zone does chip in with a remix version as well. Also, it is exit Sunidhi Chauhan and enter Alisha Chinoy this time around.
Overall, Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam has a forgettable soundtrack which won't make any impression whatsoever in either a short or a long term. The only solace that the makers of the film can take is from the fact that a couple of tracks may well keep the audience engaged due to the funny mood of the film. However, even for that, a lot would depend upon its director Sanjay Chhel to make it happen on screen.
Will Goodluck smile on Aryeman Ramsay?

Chamku
Write your own music review of Chamku |
Has Monty Sharma tried to create a 'Dola Dola' [Ismail Darbar] here with 'Gola Gola'? It seems to be the case as he gets a similar mood and style for 'Gola Gola' which is basically a 'Holi' number revolving around 'bhang' and the works! Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Vaishali Samant come together for this yet another 'desi' number in Chamku but here too, there isn't much that one ends up looking forward to. However, there are some hopes of the song getting a few eyeballs if supported by eye catchy choreography and picturisation.
Longest track in the album comes next which lasts close to six and half minutes. Titled 'Trance', this one completely changes the mood and flavor of the album and takes the listener to hardcore Western arrangements. Saleem Shahzada, Soumya Raoh and Anaida come together for this fast paced number which is set truly as a 'trance' number and comes with a possibility of being played in nightclubs with the round of drinks and flashy lights in full force. A number which has lyrics in languages other than Hindi as well, 'Trance' again comes with a core situational appeal though one wonders where exactly could this be fitted in except for some dramatic action sequence!
In the same slow mannered pace as 'Kithe Jawa' comes 'Dukh Ke Badri', which appears to be set in a village in the cow belt from where the film's lead protagonist comes. A number with a rustic feel to it, 'Dukh Ke Badri' is about looking positively in life and expecting better things to arrive. Sung by Kalpana, Parthiv Goel and Shail, it won't quite make a listener to put it on a repeat mode and in fact also forget 'Aaja Milke' which incidentally turns out to be the best of the lot.
In nutshell, Chamku is a forgettable album which is clearly one of the weakest from the house of Vijayta Films. The songs by themselves may not to be a terrible hear but for a commercial film like Chamku, they just don't create any excitement. There is absolutely nothing that one takes back home after listening to Chamku and one wonders if it may just have been a better outing if only it was a song less affair.
Print this E-mail this Two faces of True Cinema: swapping between serious and comedy
Indian cinema has two faces and both try to antagonize each other postures a tough face over their respective perceptions about the idea implied as 'true cinema'.
The antagonist side argues that a true cinema is the one depicting life of the masses in a true sense; not like the one as shown by the commercial flicks.
There are few best actresses in the Indian cinema through out the changing generations and each of them anguished for a commercial recognition at Pan
Actresses of yester years Shabana Azmi, Smitha Patil, Rohini Hattangadi etc. revolving around various tasks with different directors in the Parallel Movie segments.
Most of them had neither little nor no major breakthrough in mainstream films, since the possibility of accommodating them with in the realm of such movies as thought 'limited.'
However, many popular actors and actresses were successful while doing in reverse, for example Sharmila Tagore was favored by 'Maestro' of Indian films Satyjit Ray for his films.
Intriguingly, some of them performed well in regional films too; to say Nandita Das roles in Tamil films, in particular.
Recently Raima Sen has said that she is tired of serious cinema and likes to have some fun and act par with age.
Actors like Sanjeev Kumar, even Amitabh has done similar roles in serious films. Especially Amitabh paired with Hrikesh Mukerjee for several of such films. These genres are addressing for popular as well as serious audience, critically acclaimed.
Current trends slightly changes towards 'story-full' or fleshy one to woo across the audience. Even films like 'Black' won accolades internationally and at box office too.
Actors too willing to change their image not to restricted with in any commercial or serious face.
"I snatch my friends' cell phones and set Rock On as caller tune" - Prachi Desai
Bubbly actress Prachi Desai is looking forward to the release of Rock On for more reasons than one. While the chirpy T.V. actress will be making her Bollywood debut with this film, she will also be making her singing debut in Rock On.
When Bollywood Hungama called up Prachi to confirm the news, she seemed all excited. "Yaaa…it's true that I have sung for a song in Rock On. In fact since yesterday, everyone has been asking me about this. It seems to have become big news already", laughs the chirpy actress.
We asked her, how did this all happen and Prachi indeed had quite a funny story to narrate, "One fine day when I was shooting for Kasamh Se, I got a call from Abhishek asking me to come to a studio. I thought it may just be for a script reading session or discussing something about my role in the film. When I reached the venue, it was a music recording studio and I wondered if I have come to the wrong place. I just went in and I was made to listen to a song. The next thing I knew was that, Abhishek wanted to me to sing a few lines in the song. Although I was told that my character may have to sing a few lines for the film, I didn't know it would happen so soon. I am not a trained singer; however, I must say that things went pretty well and I could finish my part in a matter of few minutes"
So how come her name doesn't feature in the list of singers on the Audio CD? "See, the song which I have sung is not there in the audio CD. Its not a full song, hence doesn't feature in the CD. However, the song will be there in the film"
The songs of Rock On have indeed caught on big time, especially among the youth. So which is Prachi's favorite number from the film? "Since it's my first film, I am really crazy about all the songs of Rock On. I am only listening to the songs of Rock On in my car. What's more, I even snatch some of my friends' cell phones and put Rock On as their caller tune. If you ask me to pick my favorite number from Rock On, I really like the two female numbers 'Phir Dekhi' and 'Yeh Tumhari Meri Baatein'. The teaser of the latter song is currently on air and you can really unwind when listening to this song, be it at home, at work or even while in your car. It's a very feel good and soft song."
So what does she think of co-star Farhan as a singer, "All the songs which Farhan has sung are simply unbelievable. I can't believe he has actually sung 6 songs in the film. There is a really slow number sung by him called 'Tum Ho Toh' which is simply amazing. While shooting, even before I heard the two female songs, this was the song which I heard first and I simply couldn't get it off my head. Even the song 'Pichle Saat Dinon Mein Maine Khoya' is so relatable to the youth. But I guess the two songs which have really caught on are the title track and 'Socha Hai'", says the vivacious actress.
Finally, with less than a month to go for the release of her maiden film, what's Prachi feeling like? "I am excited and nervous both." says Prachi, with her trademark smile.
An unusual question aimed at Salman

"Ranbir is very shy but once he opens up, he's a riot" - Minissha Lamba
It seems like Minissha Lamba is worried that I've been getting to know her too quickly. Her flawless face has already graced the cover of numerous magazines and newspapers after she starred in films like Corporate, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd and Dus Kahaniyaan. The delightful Miss Minissha is unabashed in her enthusiasm. And why not? At 23, she is clearly enjoying herself and proving too, that's she's got the talent to match the belief that has been shown in her by some top filmmakers. So far, she has played a small but undoubtedly eye catching role in the films I've just mentioned but playing the magnificent 'Mahi' opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Yash Raj's next has proved to be one of the most vivid experiences of her career so far. In this exclusive, the actress gives Bollywood Hungama's Devansh Patel a guided tour of her new film Bachna Ae Haseeno, Bipasha Basu, Ranbir Kapoor, Siddharth Anand, her Patiala dress and her yet-to-be-boyfriend.
You're ten films old Minissha in just three years. For a woman who wanted to pursue journalism is now herself the Page 3 girl. Any regrets?
Not at all. No regrets. When things are going positive and you're happy being where you are, there will never be regrets.
So tell me how did this cute Minissha with a smile to die for land up in Bachna Ae Haseeno?
(Laughs) I think you've given all the pre requisites for a person to anyway land up. I mean, if it were anything else maybe it'd have been very difficult actually. Well, it was as simple as me getting a call from the producers of our film Mr. Chopra who wanted to meet me. I didn't know for what. When I met him, I discovered that some project was happening and in a few days time I was told to come and listen to the script. Of course, one doesn't have to listen or have a second thought about working with Yash Raj Films and that's how BAH happened.
One doesn't have to listen or have a second thought about working with Yash Raj Films and that's how BAH happened |
No I didn't give any auditions nor was I screen tested.
You've worked with Bipasha Basu in Corporate. Any change you've noticed in her since your Corporate days?
Not at all, she's the warmest and the most lovely person that one can come across. She is very friendly, down to earth and very endearing. She has one of the most beautiful smiles I've seen in a very long time. It's wonderful to watch her smile.
And what change have you noticed in your own self?
The only change I noticed is that I've become more professional and that I've become more aware of my surroundings. For any other external changes, someone on the outside would be able to know that more than me.
The locales are the same locales Yash Raj shot DDLJ in, because that is what is vital to the story line. |
When the film first opens, both of them are seventeen and eighteen year olds. Therefore, the fact that love is fresh for them and the whole experience of going out on their own with their friends and family is fresh for them. It infuses a sort of lightness and freshness that first love does in the lives of many people. So the locales are the same locales Yash Raj shot DDLJ in, because that is what is vital to the story line. My character 'Mahi' is a girl who is bred on DDLJ. She was bred on the perfect romance, which was between Raj and Simran in DDLJ, and here she is out looking for her perfect Raj. That's what she wants in her life, a perfect fairy tale ending to her love story.
You'll have to watch the film for that. If I'm going to tell you everything right now, what are you going to watch the film for?
Ever since we saw Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd we knew how gracefully you could shake a leg. Nothing can match those moves Minissha. What say? Will BAH give you the gracefulness back?
I am not dancing in Bachna Ae Haseeno. I really begged Siddharth Anand that I'd love to dance but the songs and the choreography Ahmed Khan had in mind didn't require my character to dance so much. In 'Ahista Ahista', the moves are more about the moment of love, moments of discovering first love and true love. More than dancing it's the love that is emphasized on, in the song.
Another thing that catches my attention is the lovely dress you're seen wearing in the film. Is that some sort of a 'lehenga'?
It's called a Patiala. In the film, I'm dressed up very Indian. Mahi will be seen wearing kurtas and patialas, kurtas and capri's. She is from Amritsar with a very young look and the period of our romance is the year 1996. So we've used colors that were in fashion then, colors that add the freshness and vibrancies to the emotions that our characters go through.
I really begged Siddharth Anand that I'd love to dance but the songs and the choreography Ahmed Khan had in mind didn't require my character to dance so much. |
Well, we have very limited time onscreen together but whatever time we have is cherished because we got to be with each other for sometime at least. It's great to share screen space with everyone.
Did you take Bipasha's guidance or ask for any advice as far as your acting was concerned?
Actually I don't know because when you're on the sets and together, your performance is mainly dictated by your director and yes, I did ask Bipasha for fitness tips because she is someone who is so fit and so fabulously well aware of how to keep herself beautiful. So one definitely would like to know how she manages to do all of that.
Your first time ever with the newest and the hottest poster boy, Ranbir Kapoor.
I am a very shy person, I don't open up easily in front of new people, and if someone in front of me is shy as well then there is not much of conversation that would end up. That's what happened with Ranbir and me, we both were very shy. So yes, it did take time for us to open and be friendly but once we did get along, I discovered that Ranbir is a riot. He is so easy to get along with and a gentleman to the core. Working with him was fun, fabulous, and supportive. It makes your working day even more pleasurable when you're working with the people with whom you share the same wave length.
Not many people in their career get an opportunity to showcase different talents like you have so early in your career with films like Dus Kahaniyaan, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd and Corporate. You really don't want to get stereo-typed, do you?
Yes. People are always comfortable when they stereotype you and slot you in a particular category. But my endeavor is to be a versatile actor, someone who can fit into any type of a role. I don't want to get slotted into a particular role.
So, are you still finding the perfect Raj in your life? Any boyfriends?
No boyfriend at the moment. And Yes, I think there is a bit of 'Mahi' in everyone, even in me. We are all in someway looking for our perfect mate. In some people, the dream dies out, in some people the dream is fulfilled, in some people you learn to negotiate with what you get. But one thing which is common in the people is that all of them are looking for the picture perfect romance and a fairy tale ending.
Brief us about the different cities you visited while filming Bachna Ae Haseeno.
For my chapter, we shot in Amritsar, Mumbai, and Switzerland.
And how was the experience of working with only a three film old Sid?
For a director, three films is a lot. I mean it's not new at all. He is the one who helms the film from beginning to the end. Sid is very young and a capable director who has made two very successful films before this. Bachna Ae Haseeno is also a fresh, bubbly, youthful and a romantic comedy, a genre that we haven't quite seen for quite sometime.
I think there is a bit of 'Mahi' in everyone, even in me. We are all in someway looking for our perfect mate |
No nervousness and no butterflies in the stomach except that you've had so much fun making this film and you've put so much into it that you only want the people to love it.
Any message for your fans?
Thank you so much of being so supportive of my films and me. Please watch Bachna Ae Haseeno. It's a film that you will enjoy and the experience that you will take home with you will be even more fulfilling.
Mukhbiir Movie Review
It’s been a while now that ‘Mukhbiir’ has been mired with problems that have given the film a back seat. First with a series of events involving change of producers from Pritish Nandy Communications (PNC) to Color Chips and the legal money transactions to a postponement in the release date, the film has been badly hit. Mani Shankar who established himself with ‘December 16’ and then went on to ‘Rakht’ and ‘Tango Charlie’ brings forth the story of an informer. Synopsis……. In the secret world of shadows where good and evil are deeply enmeshed, the dark world where fear stalks through streets, where the thin veil of sanity can get ripped off in an instant revealing the hidden face of stark terror-on that razors edge live the chosen ones, wearing masks that can never be taken off. The film bores and bores and bores. There is a complete lack of believability and connect with the storytelling. What’s with those close-ups of Samir Dattani time and again with those so called ‘Shayari’s ‘or one-liners? It’s just lame. Samir seriously requires much more to look like that informer. His delivery is poor and his expressions are kiddish. From which angle does he act ( forget look ) like an informer? The majority of characters have been simply scattered around without substance. Suneil Shetty just walks in and out and leaves no scope for understanding. Raima Sen was just a waste. Man, the way she falls in love with Mr.Mukhbir and breaks into the typical ‘Naach Gaana’ is ridiculous. Sushant Singh does his bit of massaging the ladies and getting to do some Bhaigiri. Alok Nath too joins him on this bit. On the whole the movie comes across as a very jaded one. With the delay and competition from former producers PNC’S ‘Ugly aur Pagli’, the film is bound to face rough waters at the box office. |
Bachna Ae Haseeno
Character Sketches:
Ranbir Kapoor as Raj
The accidental lover. Easy, boyish charm is something no guy can cultivate. You have to be born with it. Like Raj. He's not your regular boy next door, though he has a misleading quality: his 'butter wouldn't melt in my mouth' good boy charm. Couple this with a sense of humour and an unintentional sex appeal and what you have is a package that is lethal in its irresistibility. So, really, you can't blame the poor boy for the effect that he has on women. At the same time he's not really complaining.
Minissha Lamba as Mahi
Sweet, romantic, innocent Mahi. She believes that the world is her oyster. So what, if it was limited just to Amritsar most of her life. That doesn't stop the universe from conspiring to make all her wishes come true. Her life is made of stuff that's rarely found outside of a Hallmark card. She is a happy child…the Chosen One. She truly believes that nothing bad will ever happen to her and that her path will be decked by rainbows and strewn with flowers. That's where she walks, humming a happy song, with a Mills & Boon in one hand and her true love holding the other.
Bipasha Basu as Radhika
The Gorgeous one. She's a sexy and confident girl. Lives in Mumbai, on her own terms. In her own flat. She is a dancer with Shiamak, and has the ambitions to shine on the silver screen. She is a girl of today. She doesn't feel any false modesty when it comes to showing her feelings for the opposite sex. She shrugs away all the old fashioned rules set by society as she believes in doing what makes her happy. As long as it doesn't compromise with the happiness of her lover.
Deepika Padukone as Gayatri
