Akki-Kats follow SRK-Kajol

Years after Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol made Egypt look even more splendid in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will repeat the Egypt magic on celluloid in their forthcoming Singh Is Kinng.

The Labh Janjua-Suzie Q rendered Jee Karda, currently on air, has been shot in Egypt, as is the Rahat Fateh Ali Khan-Shreya Ghoshal number, Teri Orr, which releases on television next week.

Reveals Vipul (Shah), "I wouldn't say we shot in Egypt just for the glam factor. The story is such that it takes Akshay's character from Punjab to Egypt and then to Australia. So we have about 7-8 scenes in Egypt as well. We did a complete 15-day schedule there and you won't believe some of the shots we've canned. They'll take your breath away!"

He adds, "We'd already shown Punjab, which lent a very rustic, earthy, kitsch character to Singh is Kinng. Then we had Australia, which is very modern, neat, and glossy. So we decided to add a third terrain to the film for the exotica and Egypt came about. With these three locales, the audience will find the film constantly evolving on screen. There are parts of Egypt in the film that no one's seen before on celluloid!"

Singh Is Kinng is out in cinemas on August 8 with previews in select locations on August 7. It is an Indian Films - Studio 18 worldwide release.

Sanjay Gupta's double offer for Sudhanshu Pandey

Once a singer always a singer! None other than Sudhanshu Pandey realized that recently.

The actor is still remembered for his stint with a Band of Boys. But he hasn't been crooning for a while now. However he got a chance to do that once again, courtesy Sanjay Gupta. The dude is working with Gupta for the movie 'Alibaug', and the producer director asked Sudhanshu to record a song in his own voice, which Sudhanshu obliged.

Sudhanshu got a pleasant surprise when Sanjay paid him remuneration for the song! Sudhanshu says, "I wasn't expecting the money because Sanjay is already paying me for my role whatever I asked for, but he is so professional that he paid my remuneration for the song as well! I am really very touched with his gesture. He is such a professional."

Amitabh edits KISMAT KONNECTION

In our star oriented film industry rarely do filmmakers and producers inquire about the technical aspects of filmmaking and the person responsible for it.

Few know that people behind the curtains often make the most valid contributions towards a film. It is because of their "invisible" presence that the film appears the way it is! But looking at the norms followed by the film industry such artists have to usually stay content while being in the background.

Thankfully that has not been the case with Aziz Mirza's Kismat Konnection.

Ever since the promos of the film hit the air, film buffs and top-notch directors and producers have been intrigued by the sleek and stylish editing and want to know the name of the man behind such art.

Well he is none other than Amitabh Shukla, the one who had also edited CHAK DE INDIA!

Shukla's sharp presence of mind made CHAK DE INDIA the ultimate entertainer. And with Kismat Konnection Amitabh Shukla displays his dexterity as an editor once again!

Ishq Ho Gaya Mamu

A man in love mistakes a pimple for a dimple. That's the magic of love, and the same magic forces a guy to marry the whole girl just because he had liked her tiny dimple. Well, Ishq Ho Gaya Mamu is all about the magic of love with a pinch of madness, because…as they say 'If There is No Madness, Its Not Love'.

This madness is a story of three guys Osmaan (Siraj Khan), Aamir (Puneet) and Salman (Nasir Kazi) and of course when there is madness, there has to be a girl. And here she is- a shy and a beautiful damsel - Nazo (Meenu). Although all the three guys' object of desire is the same, but their method of achieving it is as different as Obama is from Osama and Ravan is from Rama! Osman, Aamir and Salman soon realize that to woo a shy and a conservative Nazo, they first have to win over Nazo's father (Rajesh Vivek), the proverbial 'Mamu' for all three guys.

In many Muslim males above 50 years, Urdu Shayari replaces sex, and Mamu is no different. So to come in Mamu's good books, all the three guys have to reinvent Ghalib and Ghazals. And if this looks hard, then to make these guys life more difficult, Osman's mother (Pratima Kazmi), Aamir's khaala (Upasna Singh) and Salman's father (Abid Khan) join the madness to campaign for their respective candidates. Things go totally out of control when Aamir's khaala falls in love with Mamu and Salman's father loses his heart to Aamir's khaala. As the story unfolds, the drama gets more chaotic than even the Mumbai's traffic, as interesting as 20-20 cricket match and a lot more funnier than the daily dose of the saas bahu TV soaps! So hold your breath, keep your fingers crossed and let that adrenal flow because Ishq Ho Gaya Mamu is coming soon….very, very soon!
